Epson Launches 62c and 82c!

Epson is keeping it crunk with their new super portable projectors that are aptly named the 82c and 62c and most probably the EMP-82 and EMP-62, following the long tradition of high quality Epson 3LCD projectors. Epson is excited for this new launch; one of their first mainstream product launches in their projector line for quite some time.

The projector lamp inside these units is the same lamp for both and pumps an exhilarating 2000 ANSI lumens, making these projectors able to compete with even the most light weight, out-of-the-way, high-tech televisions. The maximum resolution for each projector is different depending on which one you happen to select. For example, the 62c has a maximum resolution of 800x600 making only rise to the level of mediocre. However, the 82c slams out a maximum resolution of 1024x780 which is much more acceptable by today’s standards. So, the decision is yours, do you want to pay that little bit extra for higher resolution?

Which ever projector you finally decide on, both will be bargain purchases. Both projectors are expected to retail for under $1300 dollars – with analysts predicting a sale price of around $1250 USD for the 82c and $1100 USD for the 62c. Surely, Epson is poised to do very well with these products.

These projectors come on the heels of Epson’s highly successful 61p and 81p that were launched last year with the same target market in mind. The Epson 62c and 82c are going to be advertised to classroom crusaders and business board-roomers, as were the 61p and 81p. These projectors are not necessarily geared towards the home entertainment market. Though I’ll bet if you’re stuck in a hotel room in some American city some night and you have a good DVD on hand, the projector won’t disappoint.
