Sony Develops Super Projector

Sony is always on the cutting edge of technology and it is a big reason a lot of consumers are so attracted to the company in the first place. As mentioned the name of the projector is the Sony VPL-VW100. It is the first non-made-to-order projector produced by Sony that comes with the SXRD mirrors that were developed by the company to promote a crystal clear picture. The resolution on this projector is just sick, and the contrast ratio at 15000:1 seems like something out of science fiction just a year or two ago.

The projector has all the digital inputs a user could ask for - DVI-D, HDMI and S-Video. The projector can also pump out whatever quality high-definition picture you demand and comes with a ridiculous projector lamp. The projector lamp is so bright that the VPL-VW100 could be the first projector to be able to act like a television even in the daytime.

This projector is pushing the limits of what is and is not possible when it comes to projectors and it will cost a pretty penny as well. The VPL-VW100 is expected to retail for somewhere near $10,000 USD, making it a pipe dream for most. But it is cool that a projector, with a projector lamp as bright as this one actually exists.
