Panasonic PT-P1SDU, Photo Ready!

Whether you are a weathered photographer or just starting out, having the right technology can make it easy for you to view your photos, or put on a quick presentation. This is why Panasonic has introduced the PT-P1SDU portable projector, with an SD card slot for quick download and viewing of your most recent pictures.

This type of option has been available before, but it has been the costly alternative. Projectors that usually offered this option were bulky and huge and expensive. Panasonic made sure that this time, the price would not be a deterrent to would be slide show fanatics.

They claim the PT-P1SDU to be the world’s smallest and lightest LCD projector, and at just under 3 lbs with a size that is slightly bigger than a Subway Six-Inch Sub Squared, it very well may be. You will be able to fill your backpack with your digital camera and your projector and become a one-person traveling advertising campaign for Panasonic.

The one thing that is a little uncertain right now is whether the projector is compatible with many types and brands of Digital camera, or whether it is designed to work only with Panasonic’s “Lumix” digital camera line-up. The PT-PS1SDU must have advantages for those who own the Lumix cameras, but it would be very Apple like of them to force you to purchase their brand. People who already owned a digital camera of a different brand name would probably choose not to purchase the projector.

The Panasonic PT-P1SDU also has preset options for the slide show. You simply slide your card out of your camera and right into the projector, and then you have the option to choose from different types of transition effects between slides. Panasonic has really made this machine quite user friendly especially by adding a feature that rotates the photo in case it was shot portrait style.

Expect to see more innovative ideas from Panasonic and other projector manufacturers as they try to compete for your well earned dollars. I personally would like to see a complete laptop / projector fusion, how useful this would be, I don’t know. Click here to purchase the Toshiba TLP-S30 Lamp
