New BenQ Projectors and Lamps.

BenQ is fighting to maintain and even grow their market share with the announcement that they will be introducing six new projectors geared towards movie buffs and entertainment junkies. The six new projectors were recently featured at an electronics trade show in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Keeping in line with company tradition and staying along the previous path - all the projectors that BenQ intends to launch into the marketplace are DLP projectors. Included in this line-up of DLP projectors is the CP120, a projector that BenQ’s head office is claiming to be the smallest projector with a UHP projector lamp in the world. The CP120 projector is targeted towards a market of highly-mobile working professionals and offers a wide array of features including a projector lamp that runs for a stated 3000 hours. The CP120 is an impressive projector for its size with a contrast ratio of 2000:1 and a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels – outstanding for a projector that weighs approximately 3 pounds.

As mentioned BenQ is making available six new projectors into the market – included along with the CP120 are the following projectors - the CP220 (2200 ANSI Lumens), the MP770 (portable digital projector), the W100 (high-end home theater movie projector), the PB8253 and the PB8263 (4000 and 3500 ANSI lumens respectively).

Probably the most impressive projector amongst these new units is the PB8253 with an outstanding ANSI lumens rate of 4000. The projector lamp inside this unit is of extremely high-wattage and utilizes cutting edge technology to ensure that the projector lamp lasts an extra long time (3000 hrs.) and maintains the high standard of brightness.

It will be interesting to see in the coming months how these projectors play out amongst consumers and whether or not BenQ will maintain its stature as a top manufacturer of projectors or if it will trail off as the years go by.
